AsthmaGo App Wins Third Place in IEEE Telehealth Competition

IEEE Telehealth Competition

March 4th, 2022 - CMI Health, Inc. (“CMI Health”), a leading innovator in FDA-cleared medical devices, placed third in the IEEE SA Telehealth Solutions Virtual Pitch Competition.

The IEEE SA Transforming the Telehealth Paradigm Industry Connections Program held its first annual IEEE SA Telehealth Solutions Virtual Pitch Competition on February 8, 2022.

The competition’s theme focused on Remote Patient Monitoring (RPM), which helps physicians better care for patients remotely. RPM is the use of digital technologies to monitor medical information from patients and transfer this information to healthcare providers for assessment and review. Technology developers, progressive thinkers, and researchers addressed the challenges of remote healthcare and came up with reliable solutions.

Our AsthmaGo™ solution achieved third place in the IEEE Telehealth competition. According to Assistant President, Jiacheng Ren, “AsthmaGo™ is our latest solution to put YOU, the patient in the driver seat for Asthma Management.” AsthmaGo™ combines the use of three essential medical devices: Spirolink®, our Bluetooth Fingertip Pulse Oximeter, and the OxyKnight Watch®. With these three devices, users get a clear and accurate view of their daily lung performance in one app. For video footage of the event, click here!

The AsthmaGo™ app allows you to remotely track, download, and share your respiratory reports with physicians. You can also take the Asthma Control Test (ACT) within the app, improving your ability to self-manage.

Spirolink® is a smart digital spirometer designed to measure peak flow, FEV1, PEF, and more. It uses a pressure sensor, making it less susceptible to external damage, which provides the most accurate pulmonary measurements and results as it connects to AsthmaGo™.

The OxyKnight Watch® is a smart sleep oximetry monitor that measures, organizes, and manages data in conjunction with AsthmaGo™. It is helpful for individuals with snoring, sleep apnea, chronic pulmonary disease (COPD), other respiratory ailments, or even COVID-19.

Our PC-60FW Pulse Oximeter evaluates your blood oxygen levels and pulse rate. This helps users to identify oxygen-related health conditions. Whether you are an athlete, a parent monitoring their child, or diagnosed with chronic illness, this pulse oximeter is ideal.

Low oxygen and high pulse rate alert you, the user, to an Asthma attack, resulting in faster response times and fewer long-term complications. You can log daily symptoms and medication use, managing your diet, exercise, and lifestyle habits. Find out more here
