SpiroFit™: A Smart Respiratory Muscle Trainer — Coming Soon

CMI Health is preparing to launch SpiroFit™, a smart respiratory muscle trainer that brings structure and insight to respiratory muscle training. Designed for both clinical and home use, SpiroFit pairs controlled breathing resistance with performance monitoring to help users better understand and train their respiratory muscles.

What Is a Respiratory Muscle Trainer?

A respiratory muscle trainer is a device that strengthens the muscles used for breathing, including the diaphragm and intercostal muscles. Respiratory muscle training works much like resistance training for the rest of the body, applying controlled resistance during inhalation and exhalation to condition respiratory muscles over time.

Key Measurements Tracked with SpiroFit™

During training sessions, SpiroFit captures multiple respiratory performance measurements to help users and clinicians better understand respiratory muscle performance, including:

SpiroFit™ key measurements and implications list showing flow rate, power, volume, pressure, duration, load, and energy, with brief descriptions for each.

Designed for Flexible Use

SpiroFit is built to adapt across care settings, offering:

  • Bluetooth and USB-C connectivity

  • Replaceable breathing tubes that support:

    • Single-patient use at home or in sub-acute settings

    • Multi-patient use in clinics or rehabilitation facilities
